Pricewaterhouse Coopers Announced As Number One Graduate Employer
PricewaterhouseCoopers is the Times' number one Graduate employer offering Graduate Jobs for the second year running.
The respected broadsheet newspaper "The Times" has revealed that PricewaterhouseCoopers is their number one employer offering Graduate Jobs for the second year running.
The report mentioned that last summer nearly one in eight Graduates thought that the company offered the best Graduate Employment opportunities.
The company was formed in 1998 from a merger between two London based businesses: Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand. Price Waterhouse itself was founded in 1849 by an accountant by the name of Samuel Lowell Price.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) is the largest accounting and professional services companies. It has more than fourteen thousand partners and staff based in the UK. However the company is not just UK based, overall they boast of employing around 146,000 people in 150 countries, including Estonia, Liechtenstein, Madagascar and Uzbekistan offering accounting, financial and business advisory services.
The second company on the list was Deloitte & Touche (also referred to as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and branded as Deloitte.) who are also one of the Big Four auditors with approximately 150,000 professionals at work in over 148 countries.
Third on the list was KPMG, who are one of the largest professional services firms in the world, who employ 123,000 people in a global network of member firms spanning 148 countries.
