Graduate Recruitment jobs

Recruitment is essentially a sales role.  Unlike a traditional sales role, where you sell an object or service with a 'fixed' description, recruitment is about selling people, moving, changing and unpredictable creatures. 

Like all sales roles, it requires speculation and a good tolerance of a 'failure' rate before you can enjoy and benefit from the successes.  Graduate recruitment jobs will have a basic salary, normally anywhere between £15-20,000, but a large emphasis will be on commission.  In the right role you may be able to double your earnings through commission.

To succeed in recruitment you will need to be able to maintain a high work rate constantly.  It's a very dynamic environment that rewards graft and persistence.  It's not so forgiving if you are the sort that needs to take your foot off the gas once on a while.  Graduate recruitment jobs probably offer a lower starting salary than many other sectors, however, if you're really good, it's not uncommon to top £70-90K in good city recriutment roles within a few years.
