Bethel colleges oldest Graduate passes away

Sad news in the world of Graduates today with Bethel college’s oldest Graduate passing away.

On Saturday, March 22nd the eighty year old Rebecca "Becky" Woody passed away in Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Although she was to old to be placed in any Graduate Jobs, Woody decided to sign up for a course in 2001.  In 2006 the popular newspaper “The Sun” wrote an article about her achievements when she graduated.

Fellow student Leslie Graves said Woody had a charm about her and a hopeful spirit that was infectious. 

"She would get so excited about learning, and you could see it on her face and that would make you want to learn," Graves said Wednesday.

Her funeral took place on this past Tuesday, the  25th of March.
