4 out of 5 Graduate Job seekers look online
The latest figures have revealed that 4 out of 5 job seeking graduates use on-line websites to find graduate vacancies.
The research also indicated that graduates feel that specific on-line jobs boards are the most effective way of finding the latest graduate jobs.
A popular Graduate recruitment specialist asked 100 of it's student and graduate user base about their job hunting habits, a total of 83 percent said they used recruitment websites, while 77 percent said that they visit an organisations website directly, indicating that graduates may not just be focused on gaining employment with a particular company.
Reasons for so many graduates using jobs websites included the large amount of jobs as well as advice and articles.
The poll also indicated that part time jobs are becoming more of a feature in student lives, with 90 percent of respondents having or had one at university.
Unsurprisingly the poll revealed that the summer time is the busiest time of graduate applications, indicating that to land a graduate job, it is advisable to apply earlier (or later) as the winter months are the least busiest time for applications
With so many graduates looking online for jobs, advertising on websites such as UKGraduateCareers.net could prove to be an efficient and cost effective advertising method.
